The Bently Nevada 991‑series Thrust Transmitter is a specialized sensor/transmitter device intended primarily for measuring axial displacement (thrust movement) in rotating machinery—especially in applications
such as centrifugal air compressors, fans, pumps, or motors where thrust bearing clearance or rotor axial position is of interest.It is a 2‑wire, loop‑powered 4‑20 mA device that accepts a
proximity probe input (commonly the Bently Nevada 3300 NSv series proximity probe plus extension cable) and converts the measured axial displacement
to a standardized current output for machinery control/protection systems.
