Q1: Is 330854‑080‑25‑05 the probe or the cable?
A1: This part number is not the probe; it is the extension cable for the 25 mm system. The probe part numbers in the 25 mm family

begin with 330851 (or 3308xx etc) for the probe body. The 330854 series denotes the extension

cable. The datasheet shows “Figure 17 330854, 3300 XL 25 mm

Extension Cable”.

Q2: Can I use this extension cable with a shorter probe length or different system length?
A2: You must ensure that the total system length (probe integral length plus extension cable length) corresponds

to the Proximitor version you use. The datasheet emphasises that the extension cable length

 must be appropriate so the system remains calibrated/interchangeable. Using a

 mismatched length may reduce linear range

or accuracy.

Q3: What temperature and environment is this cable rated for?
A3: Because the part includes the “Armored High Temperature FluidLoc cable” option, it is designed for severe

 environments. For the 25 mm family, the probe is rated for continuous operation at ~200 °C (392 °F)

and intermittent up to ~250 °C (482 °F). The cable variant likely shares that rugged rating. 

It is armored—meaning additional mechanical protection—suitable for high

 vibration, steam turbine surroundings, etc.
