Q1. What exactly is this part — is it a probe or a cable?
A: This part number refers to the cable (or probe/cable assembly) for the 3300 XL 8 mm system, specifically an extension cable

 variant or integral cable between probe and Proximitor sensor in the system. It is not the probe tip alone.

The datasheet describes separate “probe” and “extension cable” components for the 8 mm system.

Q2. What cable length does “10” represent?
A: In many 3300 XL 8 mm examples, “10” is used to indicate a 1.0 meter (3.3 ft) cable. For example, part number

330102-00-40-10-11-00 lists “10 = 1.0 m” in the ordering info.

Q3. Can I use this cable with a different probe or Proximitor sensor from another series (like 11 mm series)?
A: No — to maintain guaranteed performance and interchangeability, Bently Nevada specifies that the probe,

extension cable and Proximitor sensor must be from the same series (in this case the 3300

 XL 8 mm series). Mixing with an 11 mm or other series may degrade

performance and void interchangeability

specs.
