1. What is a proximity probe?

A proximity probe is a non-contact sensor that uses the eddy-current effect to measure the distance between the probe tip and a

conductive target (like a shaft). It outputs a voltage proportional to the gap, enabling vibration and position analysis.

2. What does the Bently Nevada 330903-00-02-10-02-00 measure?

It measures shaft position and vibration without touching the shaft or target. This is essential for condition monitoring,

detecting imbalances, misalignment, bearing wear, and other machinery faults.

3. How does this probe work with monitoring equipment?

The probe connects via its click-style connector and cable to a Proximitor® sensor/conditioner

or vibration monitoring system (such as the Bently Nevada 3500/3300 series

 instrumentation), which conditions the signal for analysis.
