1. What does this proximity probe measure?

It provides non‑contact measurement of shaft vibration and displacement by detecting changes in the gap between the probe tip and

a conductive surface. This signal reflects dynamic shaft behavior in rotating machinery.

2. How does eddy‑current sensing work?

The probe creates eddy currents in the conductive target. Variations in these currents — due to changing

distance — are converted by accompanying electronics into a standardized

signal proportional to gap change.

3. What environments can it operate in?

These probes are engineered for industrial environments, typically operating from roughly

–51 °C up to +177 °C, with rugged housings and connector systems that

tolerate vibration, humidity, and other harsh conditions.
