Q1. What does this proximity probe do?

A: This probe senses the distance between itself and a rotating shaft or other conductive target without physical contact, producing an electrical signal that is used for vibration monitoring and shaft position measurement in machinery protection systems.

Q2. How does the eddy-current measurement work?
A: The probe emits an electromagnetic field; as the metallic target moves relative to the probe tip, the field changes, inducing

voltage variations that correlate with gap distance. This signal is then interpreted by a

 connected Proximitor® sensor module.

Q3. What systems is it compatible with?

A: It is designed for use with Bently Nevada 3300 XL transducer systems, including extension cables and

 Proximitor® sensors, forming a complete sensing chain for industrial

 condition monitoring.
