1. What is a thrust transmitter used for?

A thrust transmitter converts the axial displacement (thrust) of a rotating shaft into a 4 – 20 mA proportional signal suitable for machinery control

systems, enabling real‑time monitoring of thrust bearing movement and protection logic.

2. How does it measure thrust?

The transmitter receives input from a non‑contacting 3300 NSv proximity probe and extension cable, which

sense the axial position of a target surface. The transmitter conditions this signal into

 engineering units that correspond to thrust displacement.

3. What kind of signal output does it produce?

It outputs a 4 – 20 mA analog signal that is proportional to the measured thrust (axial displacement),

making it compatible with PLCs, DCS systems, and other industrial controllers.
