1. What measurement principle does the 3300 NSv probe use?

The probe operates on an eddy‑current, non‑contact measurement principle, detecting changes in electromagnetic fields

caused by shaft proximity, allowing precise detection of vibration and shaft

position without touching the target.

2. How does the “NSv” design differ from standard probes?

“NSv” stands for Narrow Side‑view. Unlike conventional probes that view directly toward the shaft,

 the NSv architecture positions the sensing face to the side, enabling installation

where front‑on access is restricted or space is very tight.

3. What components must be used with this probe?

For proper calibration and accurate measurement, the 330901‑00‑10‑02‑00 must be paired

with 3300 NSv extension cables and NSv Proximitor® drivers from the

same 3300 product family. Mixing it with 3300 XL

 components can lead to incorrect readings.
