Q1. What does a 3300 NSv proximity probe do?
A: It detects the distance between the probe tip and a rotating conductive surface (shaft) using eddy-current sensing. This produces a voltage

proportional to gap distance, enabling position and vibration monitoring in machinery protection systems.

Q2. How does it work?
A: Eddy-current proximity probes generate an electromagnetic field at the probe tip. When a conductive target moves closer or

farther away, the field changes and the probe’s output voltage changes accordingly. This signal is

 interpreted by monitoring electronics for displacement and vibration analysis.

Q3. Where are these probes used?
A: In industrial settings — power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical, and other heavy

industries — to monitor critical rotating equipment such as turbines,

 compressors, and pumps.
