The PSS SB ACTIVE JUNCTION BASIS is a component part of the Pilz ActiveJunction. An Active Junction consists of a base unit (PSS SB ACTIVEJUNCTION BASIS) and up to two expansion modules (PSS SB ACTIVEJUNCTION EXPANSION).

An Active Junction operates as an active junction with repeater function and isdesigned for use in SafetyBUS p networks. It galvanically isolates up to 6 subbranches from the SafetyBUS p main branch. The Active Junction can be used toconnect physically remote field devices to the SafetyBUS p main branch. Thefield devices may be in either an IP20 or IP67 environment.
