Product Details 

The WS18-3D430 through-beam photoelectric switch is an optoelectronic sensor, that operates using a transmission unit (WS) and reception unit (WE). It is used for optical, noncontact detection of objects, animals, and people.

The devices WS18-3D430 have complementary switching outputs:

Q: dark-switching, if light interrupted, output HIGH,

Q: light-switching, if light received, output HIGH.

Q: dark-switching, if light interrupted, output LOW,

Q: light-switching, if light received, output LOW

With following connectors only: With following connectors only: Connect and secure cable receptacle tension-free.

Connect sensor to operating voltage (see type label); green function indicator lights at WS and WE. Use mounting holes to mount WS and WE opposite each other and align roughly (e.g. SICK mounting bracket). Adjust for scanning range (see technical data at end of these operating instructions).

Position receiver WE in the light beam of the WS. Align light spot on receiver WE. Set range using potentiometer/rotary control switch. Turn potentiometer to the right until the yellow signal strength indicator lights. Receiver WE is detected reliably; reserve factor equals approx. 3.75. If it blinks, the receiver WE is detected at the fringe range (reserve factor equals approx. 1). Realign, clean or check application conditions of WS and WE. If it does not light, realign, clean or check application conditions of WS and WE.
