The AB 1783-US4T1F is a Stratix 2000 Ethernet unmanaged switch with 5 ports. These 5 ports are 4 RJ45 ports and 1 fiber multi-mode SFP slot. It uses packet-based thresholds and the broadcast storm thresholds of this switch are 20 packets per second (pps) for 10 Mbps per port and it is 200 pps for 100 Mbps per port. The 1783-US4T1F switch also has yellow and green status indicators available that have a blink rate of 105 ms and allow the monitoring of the states of the power supply, the port speed, and the network activity or connection. It has an IP20, open-type enclosure and uses a din rail.
This switch requires a 24V (18-60V DC, 18-30V AC, 50-60 Hz), Class 2, SELV power supply. It also has a current rating of 231 mA, an Ethernet data rate of 10-100 Mbps, and a maximum power dissipation of 2.84 W. The continuous isolation voltage of the 1783-US4T1F is 30 V and it is a basic insulation type that has been type tested for 60 s at 500V AC. The network channels of this switch do not have any isolation between them. The maximum surrounding air temperature that the switch can operate at is 70 ËšC, and it has a relative humidity of 5-95% non-condensing. The operating vibration is 2 g at 10-150 Hz, the non-operating shock is 30 g, and the operating shock is 15 g. Its operating temperature ranges from -40-158 ËšF and non-operating temperature range is -40-185 ËšF.
Wires you can use with the 1783-US4T1F should be rated at 180 ËšF above the ambient temperature outside the enclosure. The compatible wire when using a DC power connection is a 0.82 to 2.5 mm2 (18 to 14 AWG) twisted-pair copper wire. For ground connections, the 1783-US4T1F switch needs a 2.5 mm2 copper wire.
