An RFID HF antenna library security gate is a system used to prevent theft of library materials by detecting RFID tags attached to library items. The system consists of two antennas, one on each side of the entrance/exit of the library. The antennas emit an electromagnetic field that activates the RFID tag when it comes within range. The tag then sends back its unique identification code to the antenna, which is processed by the library's computer system. If the item has not been properly checked out, an alarm will sound. This helps prevent theft and also ensures that all items leaving the library have been properly checked out.
