E27 Lampholder gauges | Gauge For Testing Contact-making and Protection Against Accidental Contact During Insertion Of Lamps in Lampholdes E27-7006-22A-5
Purpose:
to check E27 lamp holders in respect of:
a) contact-making with lamps having adverse dimensions.
b) protection against accidental contact with live parts, viz, the cap shell, during insertion of a lamp.
Testing:
the holder is connect in the test cirsuit as showm
a) with switch A in position 2 and switch B open, the gauge is screwed fully home.
in this position, both lamps shall light.
b) with switch A in postion 1 and switch B closed, the gauge is screwed in slowly until either of the lamps lights.
with the gauge held in this position, switch B is opened and the test probe at the side of the gauge is slid downwards as far as it will go into the space between the gauge and the holder.
in this postion the lamps shall not light.
