Function
The thermostat is responsible for regulating the flow of coolant. When the coolant temperature is lower than the set value, it closes the passage to the radiator, making the coolant circulate only inside the engine, which helps the engine reach the appropriate operating temperature quickly. When the temperature reaches the preset value, it opens the passage to the radiator, and the coolant flows to the radiator for cooling, preventing the engine from overheating. This can effectively improve fuel economy and engine performance, while reducing emissions.
