Function

When the engine is cold - started, the thermostat closes to reduce the flow of coolant to the radiator and accelerate engine warm - up. When the appropriate operating temperature is reached, the thermostat opens in a timely manner to ensure the effective circulation of the cooling system and prevent overheating.
