1.Dust prevention: The Hitachi 4067901 dust seal is a single-acting seal installed by extruding the outer diameter. It has a static sealing lip that can effectively prevent mud and other foreign matters from entering from the outer edge, playing a good dust prevention role. This helps to keep the internal components of the machinery clean, reducing the wear and tear of components caused by dust and other particles, and prolonging the service life of the machinery.

2.Oil film control: Some dust seals, such as the DKWY dust seal made of nitrile rubber, have a special oil lip design. Although there is no direct information indiing that the Hitachi 4067901 dust seal has the same design, generally speaking, dust seals can control the oil film thickness to a certain extent, allowing a thin oil film to remain on the surface of the piston rod or other moving components. This can not only play a role in lubriion but also prevent components from rusting.
