- Function
Piston shoes work in tandem with pistons in a hydraulic pump. They slide along the swash plate, converting the swash plate's mechanical movement into a reciproing motion of the pistons. This action facilitates the cyclic suction and discharge of hydraulic oil, thus generating the hydraulic pressure needed to drive various actuators of the excavator.
