• Function 

1.Combustion Chamber Sealing: The top two compression rings create an airtight seal between the piston and cylinder wall, trapping high-pressure fuel-air mixture during compression and preventing exhaust gas leakage (leaks reduce power and increase fuel consumption).

2.Heat Transfer: The piston crown absorbs extreme heat from combustion (up to 2,000°C) and transfers it to the cylinder wall and internal oil gallery—preventing localized overheating that could warp the piston or damage the cylinder.

3.Mechanical Energy Conversion: As fuel burns, the expanding gas pushes the piston downward (power stroke). This linear motion is transmitted via the wrist pin and connecting rod to the crankshaft, which converts it into rotational motion to drive the equipment.
