- Functions
| 1.Prevent engine oil leakage |
| This oil seal is fitted at the engine front crankshaft. It forms a tight sealing barrier between the rotating crankshaft and stationary front cover, to stop engine lubricating oil from leaking out of the crankcase, maintaining stable oil pressure and normal lubrication of crankshaft, bearings and other moving parts. |
| 2.Block external contaminants ingress |
| Keep dust, mud, water and sand from the construction site out of the engine interior. Dirt entering will scratch shaft surface, wear bearings and cause premature engine failure. |
| 3.Maintain engine working condition |
| Preserve the closed lubrication system. Avoid oil loss that causes insufficient lubrication, overheating and serious engine seizure. The complete seal kit (6742-02-1110 /1241214H1) contains all required sealing parts for front crankshaft overhaul. |
