Recommended Mesh Sizes for Different Applications
- 20 and 40 mesh: Used mostly for glitter inks that need very open mesh for printing
- 60 mesh: Usually used for printing smaller glitter and most shimmer inks
- 80 mesh: Used for printing shimmer inks and laying down thick layers of ink for high-density printing
- 110 mesh: Makes printing white and other thick inks easy, ideal for spot color printing
- 120 mesh: One of the most widely used mesh sizes in screen printing, great for printing white ink
- 155 mesh: Great for general purpose textile printing with basic to semi-fine detail
- 200 mesh: Great for printing more detailed prints that need thinner layer of ink
- 230 mesh: Great for high-end fine detail printing, holds halftones very well
- 280 mesh: Excellent for high-end fine detail printing and halftones
- 305 mesh: Holds extremely high detail, letting through only thin layer of ink
