MBBR is a new type of biofilm reactor. It is an improved new type of biofilm reactor developed on the basis of fixed bed reactor, fluidized bed reactor and biological filter. It overcomes the disadvantages of the complicated operation of fixed bed reactors that require regular backwashing, fluidized bed reactors that require fluidization of carriers, plugging of submerged biological filters and the need to clean filter materials and replace aerators, while retaining traditional biofilm The method has the characteristics of anti-impact load, less sludge production and long mud age. Compared with the activated sludge method, due to the longer sludge age, more nitrifying bacteria can be maintained, and the nitrogen removal effect is better. Its main principle is to use sewage to continuously flow through the reactor filler carrier to form a biofilm on the carrier. Microorganisms multiply and grow on the biofilm while degrading organic pollutants in the sewage, thereby purifying the sewage.
