5000V Mylar Film Covered Copper Litz Wire Copper Insulated Wire With UEW Insulation
5000V MYLAR FILM COVERED COPPER LITZ WIRE COPPER INSULATED WIRE WITH PEW INSULATION
Mylar file litz wire is a polyester film made from stretched polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and is used for its high tensile strength, chemical and dimensional stability, transparency, reflectivity, gas and aroma barrier properties, and electrical insulation.
Insulation of copper wires is made of polyurethane. This fact makes it easy to tin terminals of winding. High dielectric strenght can be achieved by one or multiple wrapping polyester tape (Mylar), polimide tape, kapton tape, etc. Despite this, the litz wire has an excellent flexibility.
Usually litz wire is supplied in round cross-section. However it can be profiled and made in square or rectangular cross section to optimize the winding area.
Application of HF- litz wire causes minimalization of power loss and reduces heating of windings. Other advantage is size reduction and less weight of inductive component. Due to its numerous advantages litz wires are used in transformers, high frequency chokes, inverters, telecomunication and TV devices and inductive heaters.
