UEW 130 / 155 / 180 ENAMELED COPPER INSULATED WIRE SELF BONDING WIRE FOR VOICE COILS
Magnet wire has excellent mechanical, electrical and chemical performance, especially in high current output, heat resistance and corrosion resisitance. It is mainly used in high-voltage transformers, electric machines, generator, etc. A special type of enamelled wire is self bonding or adelaide enameleld wire. Self bonding wire is an enamelled wire with an additional adhesive enamel overcoat. This adhesive has a bonding feature, which is activated by heat or solvents. Once activated the adhesive bonds turn to turn windings into a compact self supporting coil. The use of self bonding wire may offer cost and manufacturing advantages in some winding applications as bobbins, tape, varnishing, or impregnation may be eliminated.

alcohol,heat or electric methods. The alcohol must be removed from the
coil to ensure the long term insulation degradatoin does not occur.
