LBS Double-Folded Groove Winch Drum Left-Hand 60° For 8.3mm Steel Wire Rope
LBS Double-Folded Groove Winch Drum Left-Hand 60° For 8.3mm Steel Wire Rope
1.LBS Double-Folded Groove Winch Drum Left-Hand 60° For 8.3mm Steel Wire Rope Description
This winch is configured for 8.3 mm steel wire rope, with a nominal winding capacity of 24.5 coils on the drum. Observed from the motor mounting side, counterclockwise rotation of the drum corresponds to the hoisting operation. The drum is provided with left-hand 60° double double-folded Lebus rope grooves. The adoption of Lebus grooving enables ordered multi-layer winding of wire rope, alleviates extrusion, abrasion and rope disorder, and improves the service life of the steel wire rope. The maximum single line pull of the winch is 1.3 tons. The matching of left-hand Lebus rope groove and right-lay wire rope optimizes the running condition of wire rope during reciprocating winding, reduces the risks of rope twist, kink and premature damage, and guarantees stable, smooth and safe hoisting and traction performance under specified working conditions.

3.LBS Double-Folded Groove Winch Drum Left-Hand 60° For 8.3mm Steel Wire Rope Advantage
The Lebus Double-Folded Rope Groove is a special grooving structure developed for drums with multi-layer wire rope winding. Compared with smooth drums and conventional single-helical rope grooves, it delivers prominent performance merits. This structure guides orderly layered arrangement of steel wire rope through periodic folded transition sections, preventing wire ropes from wedging into gaps between lower rope coils and eliminating messy winding. It disperses contact stress between adjacent wire rope layers, alleviates extrusion, friction and bending fatigue of the wire rope, and greatly prolongs rope service life. In addition, the rotational direction of Lebus grooves can be matched with the lay direction of steel wire rope, which counteracts the torsional stress generated during rope winding and unwinding, restrains rope rotation, twisting and kinking. The consistent positioning guidance of the rope groove effectively lowers risks of rope jumping and slipping out of grooves under load fluctuation and impact conditions during start-up and braking. Meanwhile, uniform layered winding maintains stable rope tension throughout the whole working cycle, realizes smooth hoisting and traction operation, improves overall equipment reliability, and supports safe large-capacity multi-layer rope winding within limited drum dimensions.
4.LBS Double-Folded Groove Winch Drum Left-Hand 60° For 8.3mm Steel Wire Rope Application
The Lebus Double-Folded Rope Groove is a specialized grooving solution engineered for drums with multi-layer wire rope winding. Compared with smooth drums and conventional single-helical rope grooves, it delivers prominent performance merits especially suited for marine scientific research and shipborne survey equipment. This structure guides orderly layered arrangement of steel wire rope through periodic folded transition sections, preventing wire ropes from wedging into gaps between lower rope coils and eliminating messy winding. It disperses contact stress between adjacent wire rope layers, alleviates extrusion, friction and bending fatigue of the wire rope, and greatly prolongs rope service life — a critical advantage for marine operations where frequent rope replacement brings high costs and operational interruptions. In addition, the rotational direction of Lebus grooves can be matched with the lay direction of steel wire rope, which counteracts the torsional stress generated during rope winding and unwinding, restrains rope rotation, twisting and kinking. The consistent positioning guidance of the rope groove effectively lowers risks of rope jumping and slipping out of grooves under vessel rolling, load fluctuation and impact conditions during start-up and braking at sea. Meanwhile, uniform layered winding maintains stable rope tension throughout the whole working cycle, realizes smooth hoisting and traction operation for underwater sampling, sensor deployment and other marine survey missions, improves overall equipment reliability, and supports safe large-capacity multi-layer rope winding within limited drum dimensions onboard research vessels.
