LBS groove is composed of two parallel groove section and two crossover sections on one circle layer of drum,which could make the upper wire rope enter the groove caused by lower wire ropes.
LBS groove is suit for multilayer spooling.
With LBS grooving, it is possible to calculate the exact forces that the rope imposes on the drum.
About Size:
We can manufacture all sizes of drums. From now, we have finished the drums from 50mm to 2000mm in diameter. And its length range is from 100mm to 2000mm.

Compared with cordless groove(smooth)drum and helical groove drum,LBS groove has obvious advantages in multilayer spooling.
Advantages:
1. Ensure your wire rope spools smoothly onto and off the rope drum under total control.
2. Make wire rope spooling uniform distribution of load between each layer.
3. Prevent cross & mess in the process of wire spooling.
4. Lower the rope damage and increase the service life of wire rope by more than 500%.
Processing type:
LBS grooved drum
The groove is cut directly into the body of the drum.(according to customer‘s requirements.The flanges are either welded or screw-bolted.)
Split-LBS grooved sleeves(shell)
The whole LBS grooved drum is divided into the upper and lower parts,which we call them LBS split-sleeves.
The sleeves are available a smooth drum or helical drums.
Application conditions:
- the split-type LBS groove generally can be mounted on a smooth, grooveless drum-for for retrofit or where the drum needs to be replaced.
- The split -type sleeve system consists of a pair of outer casings that are bolted or assembled on a smooth light cylinder, so that the outer surface of the cylinder becomes a grooved form, and the split sleeve is composed of a spiral groove and a parallel groove, and the groove is formed. The design conforms to the specific rope structure, diameter and length.
