Testing method:

Transfer 10ml of sample into a 250ml conical beaker with a pipette,add 2~3 drops of phenolphthalein into conical beaker,titrate the sample with 0.1n hydrochloric acid solution until the pink color disappears,the ml number of 0.1n hydrochloric acid solution consumed is the number of free alkali point.

Transfer 10ml sample into a 250ml conical beaker with a pipette.add 2~3 drops of bromophenol green indicator into the conical beaker.titration with 0.1n sulphuric acid solution until sample color changes from blue to green and finally disappears.The number of ml of 0.1n hydrochloric acid solution consumed is the total alkalinity point.
Total alkalinity points are generally used to calculate the ratio of total alkalinity/free alkalinity.

Take a certain amount of sample and keep it at 25 ℃,then measure its density by a hydrometer.

Prepare % weight ratio test solution and measure its PH value with a PH meter.

Tank liquor control:

For 1000 liters of tank liquid,0.8kg of JH-1251 is need for each increase of 0.1 point free alkalinity.Because the cleaning agent is contaminated while using,the total alkalinity will increase.The ratio of total alkalinity and free alkalinity will increase accordingly.This provides a method to test the degree of contamination of the cleaning agent.

The maximum ratio of total alkalinity to free alkalinity will varies with the type of metal being treated,the type of solid impurity on the surface and the temperature of the cleaning agent.

The tank can be drained regularly,continuous or automatic overflow to maintain the ratio of total alkalinity to free alkalinity not exceeding the maximum rated operating value.
