Description

The Cat 6A cable has an all-around better performance than Cat 5/e or Cat 6 cable. Cat 6A cable is capable of running speeds of up to 10 Gigabits as oppose to Cat 5 or Cat 6 cable which runs at 10 to 100Mbps or Gigabit speeds. With improved cross talk the chance of interference from other devices are much lower when using Cat 6A cable, making it the perfect choice for networking set ups.
Category 6a is defined at frequencies up to 500 MHz-twice that of Cat. 6.

Category 6a cable must be properly installed and terminated to meet specifications. The cable must not be kinked or bent too tightly (the bend radius should be at least four times the outer diameter of the cable).
