Descrption
RG6 coaxial cable is a common form of cable that is used in a variety of settings. Besides being used for home surveillance product insulation, this RG6 coaxial cable is also used in homes for installing cable television. RG6 coaxial cable differs from RG59 coaxial cable in that it has a larger core conductor and the insulation is also thicker as well. The thickness of RG6 cable can be twice as thick or even up to four times as thick of shielding material versus that of RG59 cable which has only one layer of shielding material added. This makes the RG6 cable better suited to carry transmissions further than other types of cable.
Applications
RG6 tri-shield 90% coverage cable is used as a distribution cable for indoor CATV, CCTV systems and as a connection cable for satellite systems where lower attenuation required.
