Machine Introduction
This tester evaluates the flame retardant performance of various textiles including woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, coated products, and laminated products. It measures the tendency of textiles to continue burning, smolder, and carbonize after exposure to flame.
The sample is mounted in the sample holder and vertically suspended in the testing instrument. After exposure to a flame at the specified height for a set duration, the instrument records the sustained burning time, smolder burning time, and damage length to assess combustion performance.
