Fire Resistance Tester for Gypsum Board
Application
Designed to determine the fire stability of fire-resistant gypsum boards and assess the fire resistance of various building materials, decorative finishes, and interior decoration materials.
Test Procedure
- Drill holes in the test specimen and condition it under specified environmental conditions
- Suspend specimen between two flame nozzles using a support rod
- Position nozzles perpendicular to specimen surface, 30mm from board surface
- Use liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as heat source
- Suspend load beneath specimen as per standard
- Measure temperature at 5mm from board surface using thermocouple
- Maintain temperature at (800±30)°C within 3 minutes
- Record time from fire exposure until fracture occurs
- Use minimum value among five specimens as fire stability rating
