How do you test a filtration mask?
Test for good filtration and fit
But a much simpler method is the candle test, popularised by US science educator Bill Nye. If you can blow out a candle while wearing your mask, that's a fail. It means your mask doesn't adequately stop the flow of air. If you can blow air out, air can also leak inward just as easily.
How can filter efficiency be improved?
To increase air-filter efficiency, select a filter with a lower pressure drop. Filters with lower pressure drops have less resistance, which increases airflow and helps your air conditioner operate more efficiently. Dust-holding capacity is closely related to pressure drop.
