Serrated steel grating is ideal for wet environments or areas requiring enhanced non-slip properties. The serration process involves carving patterns into the bars, available in both control and filler bars depending on directional requirements.
Serration Patterns
- Small Serration: Most common for industrial walkways, staircases, and heavy-duty ramp gratings.
- Large Serration: Easy to clean, primarily used in industrial kitchens, canteens, and areas with high hygiene and non-slip requirements.
Serrated steel grating is the most popular type due to its strength, cost-efficiency, and easy installation. Features include high strength-to-weight ratio, non-slip characteristics, rolled-on serrations for safety, and no sharp edges.
Optional serrated bearing bars provide enhanced skid resistance, recommended for areas with liquid accumulation or inclined installations. Note: Serrated grating requires bearing bars 1/4" deeper to maintain equivalent strength to non-serrated gratings.
