Welded Bar Grating Details
Welded bar grating, also known as metal open bar grating, is available in smooth and serrated varieties. While smooth steel bar grating is more common, serrated grating provides superior skid resistance. Manufactured from low carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminum, this grating is created by bonding slotted bars under hydraulic pressure. Its strength and durability make it ideal for industrial and commercial applications including stair treads, platforms, walkways, and covers.
Swage locked grating, primarily made of aluminum or stainless steel bars, features cross bars inserted into pre-punched bearing bars and locked under hydraulic pressure. Available with rectangular, T, or I bars, the I bar variant offers a lighter and more economical solution.
