Grade: 316
- 316 stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel alloy.
- It contains higher levels of chromium (16-18%) and nickel (10-14%) compared to the more common 304 grade.
- The addition of molybdenum (2-3%) enhances the corrosion resistance, especially against pitting and crevice corrosion.
- 316 stainless steel is more resistant to chemicals, acids, and chlorides than 304.
