Product Description
ERW 254 API high precision tube mill machine for oil and gas applications
This forming and sizing unit utilizes a combination of FF forming and FFX forming technology to produce steel pipes through HF induction welding. The heating method employs HF induction or contact welding, where steel pipe is fed into the mill and formed into pipe profile by forming rolls.
Utilizing the skin effect and proximity effect of high frequency current, induced electricity is concentrated onto the bonding surface of the pipe profile fringe to rapidly heat it to welding temperature. Pressure welding is completed when pipe fringes are squeezed together by squeezing rolls. After normalizing, cooling, sizing and primary straightening, steel pipe of desired size is produced.
