Product Overview
A hydraulic tester is used to perform leaking and hydraulic pressure tests on ERW or spiral welded pipes. The test involves sealing the two ends of the pipe, filling the pipe with a liquid (typically water, which may be dyed for visual leak detection), and pressurizing the vessel to the specified test pressure. Pressure tightness can be verified by shutting off the supply valve and observing for pressure loss. Our hydraulic tester meets API standards.
Key Differences Between ERW and Spiral Welded Pipe Testers
Longitudinal weld pipe hydraulic testers use outside diameter sealing or sealing for large gaps. Hydraulic testers for spiral welding pipes utilize polyurethane to seal pipe end faces and include a system to maintain oil and water balance.
