Description
Wood plastic composite is a new type of composite material rising in recent years. WPC uses polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC, etc. instead of common resin adhesives, and more than 35% - 70% of wood powder, rice husk, straw waste and plant fibers are mixed into wood materials, which are processed into plates and profiles by extrusion, molding and injection molding. It is mainly used in building materials, furniture, logistics and packaging industries.
Wood plastic composites contain plastics, so they have good elastic modulus. In addition, WPC contains fiber and classic materials, which can be fully mixed with plastics. Therefore, compared with hardwood, WPC has physical and mechanical properties such as compression resistance and bending resistance. Its durability is obviously better than that of general wood materials. The surface hardness is high, generally 2-5 times that of wood.
