Horizontal Single Stage Centrifugal Pump NFPA20 Standard 195.9KW Max Shaft Power
For Firefighting Applications 750GPM @ 195PSI Centrifugal Fire Pump Capacity UL/FM/NFPA20 Certification
- A split case pump is a type of centrifugal pump in which the pump’s casing is split into two separate chambers. This type of pump is different from an inline pump or an end suction pump in which the discharge nozzle and the suction nozzle are both included in one chamber.
- There are two main types of the split case pump. When the casing is split along a vertical plane with respect to the impeller, it is referred to as a vertical split case pump. When the casing is split along a horizontal plane, it is referred to as a horizontal split case pump. The later type of casing design is more economical in applications that require significantly higher flows, and its impeller can be supported using bearings on two sides, which is an advantage for larger, higher flow pumps.
- The split case pump has both the discharge and suction connections in the lower half of the pump casing, in an opposing configuration to each other. The pump’s impeller is normally mounted on a shaft that is supported by bearings on two sides.
