Extruder Screen Filter Function
The screen pack plate assembly serves to create essential back pressure in the barrel, which is required for uniform melting and proper mixing of polymer materials. Back pressure can be precisely adjusted by varying screen pack composition parameters including the number of screens, wire weave size, and other specifications.
This breaker plate and screen pack combination effectively eliminates the "rotational memory" of molten plastic and creates "longitudinal memory" instead, ensuring consistent extrusion quality.

Plastics Extrusion Process
