16CFR 1500.52C Toys Testing Equipment Stainless Steel Bite Test Clamp

Purpose:

To simulates a child biting the accessible area of toys or other items to test the possibility hazards or misuse result from the biting.

The part of the toy being tested is placed in a bite test clamp & a specified force is applied for a specified period. The toy is then tested to ascertain whether or not any hazards result from the bite test such as sharp points/ sharp edges / small parts.

Applications:

1.Toys or items that used by children under 8 years old.

2.Toys of its external dimensions of 1.25 inches ± 0.05 inches(3.18cm) or smaller, and its shape allows children insert the mouth in any way,the insertion depth of the mouth at least 0.25 inch when biting thickness of toys is 1.25 inches ± 0.05 inches(3.18cm).
