Definition:

Type B: Ensure that the end caps and the outer surface of the sample are sealed,and the sealing connector is connected to another sealing joint through a connecting piece. Therefore, the hydrostatic end thrust will not act on the sample.

The sealed joint may consist of one or more metal rods that allow the longitudinal movement of both ends of the specimen to avoid bending caused by thermal expansion.

If an external metal rod is used, during the test the contact between the metal rod and the outer surface of the sample should be avoided. Otherwise, the test is considered invalid.

Summary:

The end caps are made to seal the plastic pipes such as PVC, PE, PPR, ABS, etc when doing pipe inner pressure test.

End caps

Our annual production capacity of end caps can reach tens of thousand sets. The material of our end caps is 45# carbon steel or 304# stainless steel.
