Welding Charatoristics for 304L

304L is a typical austenititc stainless steel,having good weldability and a variety of welding methods may be used for welding.There are two important factors during welding of austeniteic stainless steel must be considered:

1) Maintain its corrosion resistance

2)Avoid cracks

The higher the carbon content,the easier the precipitation of chromium carbide during welding.This is very harmful to the corrosion resistance of stainless steel.304L is a good  choice for improving the corrosion of the material after welding. In addition,fully annealed can dissolve chromium carbide and the corrosion also increase.
