Advantage of 316L

316L is a kind of stainless steel containing molybdenum, due to molybdenum content, the overall steel performance is better than 310 and 304 stainless steel, on high temperature condition, when the concentration of sulfuric acid is less than 15% or higher than 85%, where is 316L stainless steel widely used.

• Cold rolled product has beautiful appearance, good glossness
• Because of the addition of Element Mo (2~3%), it has good corrosion resistance, especially has excellent performance on pot resistance
• Excellent in high temperature strength
• Excellent hardening ( weak magnetic after processing)
• There’s non-magnetic in solid solution
• Cost higher relative to the 304 stainless steel
• Excellent creep resistance.

Application:

316l stainless steel has good resistance to chloride corrosion, so it’s commonly used in marine environment
