General Properties
E2205 duplex stainless steel(DSS) is characterized by a dual phase structure with approximately equal volume fractions of both ferrite and austenite,offering an attractive combination of corrosion resistance,higher mechanical properties,excellent impact toughness and welding performace.
The yield strength is about twice that of austenitic stainless steels.This allows a designer to save weight and makesthe alloy more cost compettive when compared to 316L.
