Excellent Performance Aramid Honeycomb Panels Radomes Use High Temperature Resistance is a very light weight aramid honeycomb panel comprised of an aramid honeycomb core with two carbon fiber prepreg produced surface plates with benzoxazine resin. The surface plates are produced from carbon fiber prepreg impregnated with benzoxazine resin.
Benzoxazines formed by the reaction of phenols, formaldehyde and primary amines which on heating to ~400 °F (~200 °C) polymerise to produce polybenzoxazine networks. The resulting high molecular weight thermoset polymer matrix composites are used where enhanced mechanical performance, flame and fire resistance compared to epoxy and phenolic resins is required.
Features of Aramid Honeycomb Panel:
