What’s a cable gripper?
A Gripper is a sophisticated piece of hardware that allows an electrician to adjust the height of a fixture without utilizing tools. As a cable slides through the gripper a plunger and three balls within the gripper surround the outside diameter and catch the cable as it passes through the gripper. When mounted and weight is applied to the gripper, the tension forces the balls to grab the cable in a pinching movement.
How To Installation for Cross Cable Gripper :
1: Insert the cable into one side of the Looping Gripper.
2: Pass cable through or around the anchor point.
3: Insert cable back into Looping Gripper.
Adjustable for Cross Cable Gripper:
Remove the load from Cable, depress the plunger, adjust the cable height, and release the plunger to lock the cable position.
How To Use
Cross Cable Gripper is simple to use (see visual instructions). Insert uncoated galvanized steel cable into the arrow-guided clutch so the built-in locking mechanism automatically grips the wire. To release, press the clutch button allowing the cable to freely move back and forth for quick and easy height and leveling adjustments.
Cross Cable Gripper is perfect for applications in retail display, conference, or event environments. Measures 20mmx20mm. Available in shiny silver or matt silver color. More other colors are available as a custom order.
Requires 5/64 inch (2.0 millimeters) or 1/8inch(3.0millimeters) 7 x 7 galvanized steel cable. Do not use coated or stainless steel cables.
