Material and Structure of TECCO Mesh
Material and Structure of TECCO Mesh
TECCO mesh is a high-strength protection net developed based on Swiss Geobrugg technology, mainly made of high-tensile steel wire rope. The surface of the steel wire is coated with hot-dip galvanization + Zn-Al (Galfan), with a single wire tensile strength reaching 1770 N/mm², providing greater durability compared with ordinary steel wire mesh.
The mesh adopts a diamond-shaped woven structure, with common specifications of 65mm × 65mm or 83mm × 83mm. This weaving design effectively disperses rockfall impact forces, making the entire system more stable.
Features:
-
High tensile strength, able to withstand impacts from large falling rocks.
-
Excellent corrosion resistance, service life of 30–50 years.
-
Flexible design, adaptable to terrain variations such as steep slopes and cliffs.
-
Differences Between TECCO Mesh and Ordinary Protection Nets
Many clients compare TECCO mesh with traditional steel wire or iron mesh. The main differences are:
-
Strength
-
Ordinary wire mesh has low strength and can break under large rock impacts.
-
TECCO mesh uses high-tensile steel wire and can withstand several tons of impact.
-
-
Service Life
-
Ordinary mesh may corrode outdoors within 3–5 years.
-
TECCO mesh lasts over 30 years in harsh environments, almost maintenance-free.
-
-
Overall Cost
-
Although the unit price of TECCO mesh is higher, due to low maintenance and long service life, the long-term cost is actually lower.
