ASTM A 975 gabion baskets are rectangular containers constructed from double or triple twist hexagonal steel mesh fabric. These heavy-duty wire mesh baskets are engineered for demanding applications including retaining walls, erosion control, riverbank stabilization, and channel lining.
Construction & Materials
Manufactured from soft annealed mild steel wire with heavy zinc coating per EN 10244/ASTM A 641 specifications. Enhanced corrosion resistance is achieved through optional PVC coating (0.5mm thickness) that is UV stabilized as per ASTM A 975 standards.
Reinforcement Features
Selvedge/edge wire (3.0mm thickness) reinforces all edges and transverse diaphragms, providing superior structural rigidity and shape retention.
