Woven gabion baskets refer to a rectangular box with double or triple twist hexagonal steel mesh fabric made form galfan wire or PVC wire. They are successfully applied to various rough conditions. Such as gabion retaining wall, gabion fence and gabion channels, etc.
Besides galvanizing, the extra PVC coating could provide stronger corrosion resistance ability. It is further extruded with 0.5mm thick PVC Coating. The PVC coating is UV stabilized as per ASTM A 975.
The wire used to manufacture double twisted gabion wire mesh is soft annealed, mild steel wire provided with heavy zinc coating as per EN 10244/ASTM A 641 to prevent corrosion.
Selvedge / Edge wire which is a thicker and heavier wire is used to reinforce the edges and transverse diaphragm. It gives greater rigidity and shape to the Gabion Basket.
